Got an idea? How about 30 ideas? StoryStorm is an annual challenge to help writers generate ideas for the new year. Each January, writers are challenged to come up with 30 new ideas for novels or short stories, fiction or non-fiction in 30 days. Writers who sign up are eligible to win prizes, but signing up is not required to participate. Those who are able to come up with 30 ideas by the end of the month are eligible to enter a drawing for a professional consultation with an editor or agent.
Participating is simple. Simply follow the StoryStorm blog (see link below) for the month of January. Each day, creator and children's book author, Tara Lazar, will feature a blog from different published authors to help writers come up with new ideas. Join the StoryStorm Facebook Group to discuss idea possibilities.
In order to be eligible for prizes, authors must sign up on the blog by January 7, 2019.
Ideas can be anything from the title of a new novel to a vague new character. Throughout the year, writers are encouraged to develop an idea, but no further action is required to participate. This challenge is specifically to help authors create new ideas for 2019.
