Spooky Stories and Ghost Tales

October 17, 2017

"I write to give myself strength.

I write to be the characters that I am not.

I write to explore all the things I am afraid of.

- Joss Whedon

(Author, The Avengers)

We write to explore  - new worlds, new challenges, new characters. The more we explore, the more we learn about ourselves and our place in this world.

I am thrilled to announce the first workshop in a series of writing workshops for just students in grades 6-12. Once each month, we will have the opportunity to explore new worlds, new challenges, and new characters through writing. Through these workshop, my goal, as an author and a teacher, is to help you develop a passion for writing and discover new ideas inside yourself.

"Spooky Stories and Ghost Tales" is not about writing horror. I don't read horror and know very little about it as a genre. This workshop is about exploration, creating suspense, and writing a good story. It's about enjoying writing and allowing creativity to flow unhindered.

If you are local to the area, feel free to stop by and check it out.
